CHMSE hosted another successful Planner Connect on November 28, 2019 at the stunning Omni King Edward Hotel. It was a fantastic opportunity for meeting professionals to network with CHMSE members, enjoy a sumptuous luncheon and hear from Meeting Professionals Against Human Trafficking (MPAHT). MPAHT is a Toronto-based organization formed to create awareness and dispel the myths surrounding human trafficking in Canada in the event industry. Focusing on collaboration and education, MPAHT is driving the conversation on human trafficking that may be taking place at events and through allied partners including hotels and airlines. The ultimate aim for the volunteer-based organization is to provide awareness and resources for the meetings and conference industry at large. We were pleased to have Tania Ferlin and Andrea Boulden with us to share their perspective and show us how we can make a difference together.
